Mike + James

Now dear friends, Mike and James first came to me as clients who hoped to plan an extravagant celebration filled with laughter, delicious food, and splashy but elegant decor to share with all their family and friends. The ultimate hosts, it is a common occurrence to be invited into their home for an over-the-top themed party with a pre-planned themed dress code. Their wedding could be no different, a black tie affair set amongst a beautiful backdrop - a grand statement of their love.

With a guest list of close to 250, this was one of the largest weddings we had ever undertaken. From the intricately designed custom gobo lighting casting enchanting patterns of garden leaves and branches across the ballroom walls to the custom monogrammed dance floor wrap, every detail was meticulously planned to create a breathtaking ambiance. The transition from ceremony to reception space was seamlessly orchestrated to accommodate the large guest list, ensuring a smooth flow of festivities. Luscious floral arrangements adorned every corner, adding a touch of elegance to the extravagant affair. One of the highlights of the evening was the 8x16’ custom-built wall bearing the couple’s names, serving as a stunning backdrop for the world-renowned musicians (and good friends of the grooms’) who entertained guests during the cocktail hour.

As a wedding planner, there are some celebrations that leave an indelible mark on your heart, and Mike and James’ wedding is one of them. Their unwavering love, zest for life, and commitment to creating magical moments will forever be etched in our memories. Thank you for allowing me the honour of bringing your vision to life. Confetti canons and all :) Cheers to a lifetime of happiness, love, and themed soirées!
