Karen + Matty

In the heart of August, beneath the warmth of the sun and amidst the embrace of loved ones, Karen & Matty said their vows in a private moment on the coast of St. John’s, Newfoundland. I loved that they took this moment for just the two of them before moving to their intimate ceremony location for the official wedding ceremony in the bride’s parents’ backyard where their beloved dogs served as ring bearers. As the couple exchanged their formal vows, the multicoloured pink florals stole the show. With the weather playing its part flawlessly, photographer Alex Stead seized the opportunity to encapsulate the sheer joy and companionship shared between Karen & Matty in every frame.

The festivities seamlessly transitioned to The Merchant Tavern where guests were treated to a bespoke cocktail menu and tantalizing hors d’oeuvres and small bites created by Chef Nick Walters. Amidst heartfelt speeches brimming with love and pride, it became apparent that the culmination of the wedding was not just the union of two individuals, but a testament to the collective efforts of both families. From our group planning meetings to shared moments of laughter and anticipation, every detail of this wedding was infused with a sense of familial warmth and affection.

Karen & Matty’s wedding was more than just that; it was a celebration of love, unity, and the unwavering support of those closest to them. As they embark on this new chapter of their lives together, they do so with the memories of a day that was as unique and beautiful as their love for each other.
